About us
Home Caregiving Services is an assisted living residence in Maryland. Residents live here, with caregivers on duty day and night.

Our story
A residence run the way we would want for our own
We are a licensed assisted living programme. Not a nursing home, and not an agency that sends caregivers to your door. Residents live here, in a house set up for them, with caregivers on duty around the clock.
Care is written around the person. Someone who needs a hand with grooming and a reminder about medication gets exactly that. Someone who needs more gets more. Nobody is fitted to a standard package because it is easier for us to run.
The house is arranged for people who live in it rather than visit: room to be private, room to be together, and none of the corners and steps that make an ordinary day harder than it needs to be. Whether a place here is right depends on what someone needs rather than on their age, and we will tell you plainly if what your relative needs is beyond what we are licensed to provide.
What we believe
Why we do it
Our mission is compassionate, personalised care that improves the quality of life of the people we look after. We want a place where residents live with dignity, independence and purpose, and where families have peace of mind.
A plan for each person
Care is written around the individual, not fitted to a standard package.
Vetted caregivers
Screened and professionally vetted before their first shift.
Families kept informed
You hear from us as things change, not only when something goes wrong.
Body and mind both
Physical fitness, mental health and emotional wellbeing all count as care.

Around the clock
Care that does not stop at five o'clock
Someone is awake and on duty here at every hour. That is usually the first thing families ask about, and it is often asked after a fall at home, or a night when nobody could reach a phone.
Caregivers are here overnight and at weekends, not only during office hours. If a resident needs help at three in the morning, they get it at three in the morning.
Our office keeps its own hours, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from nine to five, and that is when to reach us about a place, a bill or arranging a visit. Care itself runs every day of the week.
A day here
Daily living, healthy living
Healthy living runs through everything here: balanced meals cooked fresh, hydration watched rather than assumed, gentle physical activity, and preventive care that catches problems early.
The day has a shape of meals, activity, rest and company, but it bends around the person. Someone who has read the paper at seven every morning for forty years carries on doing that here.
Wellbeing is not only physical. Mental health is planned into someone's week alongside meals and movement, and so is company: activities are there to be joined, not endured, and they respect each resident's own history, culture and preferences. When a resident needs to be somewhere, an appointment or a family occasion, we arrange the transport rather than leaving a relative to solve it from three towns away.

Levels of care
What a licence level means for your family
Maryland licenses assisted living at three levels, and a residence may only provide the level it has been approved for, or a lower one. Knowing the level tells you whether a place can meet your relative's needs now, and as those needs change.
Low
Occasional supervision, or help with some daily activities.
Moderate
Regular help with daily living, medication management, or a chronic condition.
High
Near-continuous supervision, with significant support for medical and daily needs.
Our people
Who will be looking after them
Caregivers are screened and professionally vetted before their first shift, and trained on a resident's plan before they work with them. Licensed caregivers and medical staff are here around the clock, so help never waits until morning. Medication is managed rather than left to chance: doses given on time, changes recorded, and nothing depending on a resident remembering for themselves.

Come and see the place
Visits are arranged by appointment, and you are welcome to bring family. Nothing on a website tells you as much as half an hour in the building.
